There’s a new kid in town called Sadhu and he’s an Anusara inspired teacher. That qualification signifies that he has committed years to the study of yoga and has reached a major milestone of achievement with his teaching. Don’t let the fact that he’s done extensive study fool you – this man embodies joy and knows how to make yoga make sense to just about everyone!

Sadhu will be offering a workshop to introduce himself June 18 and 19th. Spaces will be limited so please book soon.

In addition, Sadhu will be offering the following courses at YU:

Anusara Inspired Yoga Essentials - perfect for beginners or as an introduction to the style of Anusara Inspired.

The thousand arms of compassion

A poem by Mark Nepo

My efforts now turn
from trying to outrun suffering
to accepting love wherever
I can find it.

Stripped of causes and plans
and things to strive for,
I have discovered everything
I could need or ask for
is right here—
in flawed abundance.

We cannot eliminate hunger,
but we can feed each other.
We cannot eliminate loneliness,
but we can hold each other.
We cannot eliminate pain,
but we can live a life
of compassion.

Ultimately,
we are small living things
awakened in the stream,
not gods who carve out rivers.

Like human fish,
we are asked to experience
meaning in the life that moves
through the gill of our heart.

There is nothing to do
and nowhere to go.
Accepting this,
we can do everything
and go anywhere.

Thanks to Erin Taylor, from Original Nature Meditation Centre, for sharing this poem with us.
