The longer evenings and the promise of warmer weather bring us the energy we need to shake off the winter blues, and take on new challenges. Spring is about opening up to new possibilities, and the upcoming workshop with Oli Wiles is an opportunity for you to find a fresh perspective on back-bending, as well as another way to explore the concept of balancing sthira and sukham (effort and ease) in your practice and your life.
Join Oli on two consecutive Sunday afternoons – October 30 and November 6 – from 2:00 – 5:00pm.
- Learn to back-bend with more ease.
- Discover your alignment in a dynamic, non-judgmental way through gentle movement explorations.
- Learn to approach yoga with gentle compassion and to practise without pain.
- Explore the functional application of back-bending in your daily life.
Refine your back-bending practice through a series of gentle, guided movement explorations. These mindful movements allow you to feel for yourself where you are overworking – and find new ways to distribute the work evenly, undoing tension.
When we practise mindfulness and compassion in yoga, we learn not only how to perform asana (postures) with more ease and without pain but to act and move in the world like this as well.
