When you look at the timetable of classes, you’ll notice that we’ve indicated a level for each class. This is what those designations mean!
Beginners
Classes at this level focus on basic yoga postures (asanas) and breathing techniques. This class is appropriate for people of all ages, shapes and sizes who wish to experience the many benefits of yoga. No experience or flexibility required.
General
Classes at this level include a wide variety of yoga postures (asanas) with a non-aggressive approach and moderate pace which allows students to progress at their own rhythm. This class is open to everyone from those who are new to yoga through to experienced yogis.
Intermediate
Classes at this level explore the beginning stages of intermediate and advanced poses while keeping a focus on developing stamina and flexibility. After learning the basics, we concentrate on challenging asanas, arm balances, inversions and more vigorous sequences.
*An ongoing practice of 6 months or more is recommended.
Advanced
Classes at this level explore yoga postures (asanas) at a faster pace with intermediate and advanced variations. Concentration, confidence and endurance are cultivated for students who have an ongoing practice. There is less verbal instruction allowing students to concentrate on developing a self-practice.
